County & City of Cork Registry of Deeds Townland Indexes Timelines
If you are looking for deeds in relation to specific townlands, here are all the LDS microfilm numbers for the county in chronological order, including multiple filmings. All misspellings in the original catalogue entries are highlighted in red. Gaps in the timeline are also highlighted in red in the "Starts" and "Ends" columns - see particularly the large 29 year gap in the records between 1780 and 1809. However, remember these gap years represent the years in which the deed was registered, so if you think that a deed may have been drawn up in any of the gap years, for example marriage articles, then check the next available volume in case it was actually registered some time later.
The City of Cork also has its own indexes, with a couple of small gaps in the mid 19th century highlighted in red below - scroll down the page to find the second spreadsheet.
If you want to learn more about these wonderful records, please see "Registry of Deeds". Also, please be patient, it may take a few seconds more than you think to load the spreadsheet, but hopefully it's worth the wait!
