Local Specialities - County specific resources
For each County you will find 3 culinary themed sections with hyperlinks in bold green to take you to either other great web-sites or another one of the pages on my site;
Basic Ingredients;
Irish Ancestors Map pages for;
Special Ingredients - Record Finding Aids
These are my unique finding aids of which there are 2 types at the moment. These appear on separate pages under each county page - so just go to your favourite county and click the green link with one of the following titles and you will find them waiting for you. Or alternatively, click on either of the links below to find out more about what they contain and how they work plus a complete list for every county.
Chef's Recommendations
This is a short summary of what I think is good, bad and indifferent in the Basic Ingredients which I hope will be helpful to read before you start following the links. If I learn of some other special resources for the county that are worth sharing, I'll make a note of them here too. My apologies if some counties appear bereft of Chef's Recommendations to begin with - inevitably I know some counties better than others and have started off commenting on them. I will work my way through them all and see what I can usefully add to this section. Please feel free to make your own suggestions for good local on-line resources via my Contact form and I'll be sure to include them under "Readers' Recipes"!
