Special Ingredients - Unique Finding Aids
Having used a wide range of alternative sources to try to locate and access particular records, I often came across what appeared to be potentially conflicting advice, particularly in relation to date ranges. Different cataloguing styles at libraries, archives and websites also added to this headache.
I'm afraid I'm a bit of a spreadsheet diva and I turned to this method to sort the data in different ways to understand where to look for what I sought within 2 record sets in particular. In time these grew to become my own personal "batterie de cuisine" for whenever I needed to quickly work out where to look for the records I sought. These are unique and I have shared them with you for FREE on this website. If you're comfortable working with spreadsheets, you'll love them (I hope!)
